Job Vacancy – Resident Controller
Our Client is looking to hire a dedicated Control Officer. The job holder will be responsible for
providing assurance on the adequacy, appropriateness, and effectiveness of the organization’s internal control environment and risk management framework. The ideal candidate will be exposed to virtually all areas of the company’s operation hence he MUST be a self-starter, self-motivated, and very detailed.
Ensures company complies with internal regulations and established control protocol
Examines documentation, including reports, statements, records, and memos to gather information
Reconciles documentation with actual inventory or assets to ascertain the accuracy
Completes standard paperwork and questionnaires to confirm internal controls
Participates in meetings with individuals and departments to update auditees on findings and the audit process
Prepares reports and preserves documentation pertaining to audits for internal record Presents summarised findings concerning audit results and trends for internal groups Analyses audit results to determine methods for increasing profits and decreasing unnecessary costs
Makes recommendations for the best ways to avoid fraud and reduce waste Assesses best financial practices and makes relevant, informed suggestions
Keeps up-to-date on audit procedures and regulations by attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education seminars
Works with a team to achieve company goals
May work extra hours during busy audit seasons or to meet certain milestones
- B.Sc / HND Degree in accounting or a similar field preferred.
- Not more than 3 years of experience as an auditor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Female
ICAN is an added advantage.
Additional Information – Ability to function as Administrative Officer would be required
Reports to – MD/CEO
